Petition to oppose the Grandview connection

Want to help conserve open space around Grandview Ridge? You can make a difference by signing the petition.
Help us reach our goal of 1,000 signatures by the end of the year.
It’s about preventing the construction of a paved road across public land (BLM) that many of us consider to be Durango’s best open space. This petition will be presented to the La Plata Board of County Commissioners and the County Manager in the event that the idea is promoted by them again. The road proposal was previously promoted in a Letter of Intent between County Commissioner Kellie Hotter and Oakridge Energy.
Equally as important, it’s about protecting the undisturbed wildlife habitat of wintering deer and elk herds, by preserving the solitude and dirt characteristics of the Grandview Ridge area.
