Cuchillo and Mikes Trail are raw and rugged with banking turns that are accentuated by some benign erosion effects. This blogger presented a petition to the Natural Lands Preservation Advisory Board of Durango to preserve the currently existing downhill/freeride/all-mountain oriented trails that have built their reputation off of their ability to provide for a fast, downhill-descent experience be left alone and not be pacified or obstructed under the guise of sustainable trail development.
